She has a lot of hair, and because the ends tend to splay out, even a bob cut doesn’t take on much of a rounded shape, leaving her with a heavy-looking style. Even if she blow-dries her hair in the morning, it tends to get puffy as the day goes on, and it doesn’t stay in place.
SOLUTION
Rather than simply thinning out the hair, we adjust the internal volume while identifying the root cause of frizz. We’ve designed the silhouette so that the nape of the neck naturally follows the contour of the neck, while creating a rounded shape at the back of the head. By styling the hair to a texture that keeps the ends well-defined, we’ve created a bob that holds its shape easily—even when you simply blow-dry it at home.

For this look, we’ve transformed a bob—which can easily appear too wide—into a compact, rounded silhouette. In this case, we’ve controlled the volume to suit each client’s hair texture and natural growth pattern, cutting the hair to create a natural roundness while minimizing bulk. The result is a clean, sleek look at the nape of the neck, with natural volume at the back of the head, creating a beautiful silhouette from both the side and the back. This style is easy to manage—simply blow-dry it each morning—and allows you to easily recreate that just-from-the-salon look at home.
